Pathfinder Second Edition Content

DESCRIPTION

I create rule systems, supplements, and adventures for tabletop role-playing games. This involves play testing mechanical content and ensuring it is written down in a concise and easy to understand way. I also plan for players to make branching narrative decisions within the game as well as leaving  space within the content for when players make unexpected choices so that the game may adapt and continue moving forward no matter what happens to ensure the best experience for all.

CHARACTER OPTIONS

Mixed-Ancestry Heritages (Core)

Character options for playing half-elves or half-orcs have always been common in fantasy RPGs, but characters of other mixed ancestry are often ignored. In Pathfinder Second Edition's Player Core book, which contains a number of ancestries and character options considered to be essential to the game, there are options included for playing characters of half-elven and half-orcish characters with the "Aiuvarin" and "Dromaar" versatile heritages, which can be taken by characters of any ancestry other than the ones these are half of. To continue filling out this design space, I have created five additional versatile heritages to allow for players to create characters of mixed heritage from the other ancestries listed in the Player Core book.

For each of these options, there is accompanying flavor text, explaining what characters of each mixed heritage may look like, their experiences interacting with others of different ancestries, and how they may view themselves. They also all have a number of feats that can be taken to highlight their uniqueness as characters of mixed ancestry.

I originally began this project in 2021, working with the system prior to its remaster, but have recently updated it to reflect the changes made since the Second Edition remaster project has been released. The update was primarily for giving unique names to each heritage rather than calling them "half-X" and updating any specific mechanic names, such as changing "level" spells to "rank" spells. I also took the opportunity to tweak what some of the feats do for better balance to make them more compelling choices for players.

While this project is currently not yet up on Pathfinder Infinite, I plan on releasing it there as soon as I am able to gather appropriate art assets to accompany the work in it. In the mean time, I have already uploaded it to the popular character creator app Wanderer's Guide, where the legacy version was consistently in the top 10 most popular pieces of homebrew content for three years, which can be seen in the link below.
